Google wins Google-iPad.com domain name

On January 3, 2012 Google filed a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum, asserting legal rights over the domain name google-iPad.com .

Owning trademark registrations for “Google”  across the world, the brand had no problem proving their legal right over the domain name in question. Google also added that the domain was registered in bad faith and therefore the domain was ordered back to Google themselves.

When registering your domain names, check carefully that you are not imposing on any brand trademarks or your could be ordered to return the domain to the trademark owner.
